Tho guerrillas wonld a'so h-ive alinost their entiro sirength in tho engagement. With their defcat and dispersión wonld virtually end guerrilla raids in Missouri. But the rebel Kains was not at Greenfield, and the bands oi Coffee and Quantrell fled mi ; the Ariansas alone promised saiety, auu tbat gained as speedily as possible. General Blunt having found further pursuit usekss, has eent liis artillury and cavalry to Fort rfcott. His infantry vet remain in the vioinity of Greenfield, where all at present is quiet. Coiiee and liains have formed a juiiLtion, and are recruiting and reorganizing, evidenlly for ihe purpose oi further iepredations. Gen. Blunt'ö ioree is o disposed that it can keep close watch, and frústrate the intentions oi sniall roving bands. The Staie at procent may be cooeiderod frou from Confedérate forcea, though they are only waiting for a favorable opportunity to swnrrn our State.
