-On Wednesday rioon, our fellow townsnian, H, J, Dennis, who is about to leave this city for Kansa?, was presented with a pistol by Sergeant Riciiaüdson The presentaron speech was made by R. E. Frazer in a few well-timed and pertinent remarks, to which Mr, De.nnis responded in a most feoling manncr. líe said lie was about to leave the scène of bil early exploits for a home in Kansas, and tliis gift would serve to remitid liim of the inany valuable frieuds luft behind.
