-The mos enüiusinstic aspirant lor familv and ancestral glory could not have de.sired a finer day lor a fatpily gathering tban was Wednesday .It was ono of the best of September days - a pleasant contrast with the prospect which the heavy elouiis of the morning had seemed to threaten. Of courae all the ChapinH (there vvasn't anybody else Wedneduy) were in good spirits, and fuller than ever of the "bloodof the good oíd lino," Under the great umbrella treo ol the Chapín stock, gathered noarly 1,500 dencendants and conneetions, all ofj whose names were r6corded fit the City Hall on Tueeday and Wednesday. - All arrangernents lor the csercises were made with bo much care by the oommittee of arrangments, thnt everything passed off with perfect order and succes. "Chapindny " is a calend::rday hereafter. At least 2,000 men und women ill recall its pleasant memories and episodes with the greatest satisfaction when the 17th of Sepiember rolls round ngnin.
