The paroled prisoners from Kich mond, who ware exchanged on Monday last, are now rapidly arriving hero Irom Annapolis. Twelve hnndred arrivod last nigbt and threö Inindred todav, and tiíteen hundred more aro expeuted hero to morrovv tooroing. They re quarterod over night at the Soldier's Retreat, and then sent to Alexnndria to be mustered for pay and clothing. I have hcard to-day njore sad stories from the lips of these men than I wiah to listen to again while I live. Not ono of thein but n:iys hú will never be titken agaia alivo. I oaiMiot repeat for yon the innumerable hardsliipa thoy have enoountered during their confinement. Many of thern are without e-hoes and coats, somo barehii-.idud, and when they left Belle Is land, some thero were who had huta single blouse, or n pair oi paotalorins ouly, with wfaioh to cover their naked Dess. Their clothing was either worn out or taken from them, whila to live, they were compelled to sell even sonie portion of their scanty wardrobe. I saw to-night scores of brave fellows, sitting in the ehilly wind, with nothing but the thinnest kind of cotton pants and shirts on, and feet brown and bare. I saw men, too, who have been conlined six months, with less than half a ration per day, and frequently none at all, whose stalwart frames are next to skeletons, and who scaroe possess the strength of a child. The men are all itnpressed wiih the idua that they will bo sllowed to go home, and they are clamorous for a fiirlough. They learn with yrievous disappointment that they cannot be nllowed to leave. They now get their back pay, draw clothing, and all uho aro able go to their regiments, tho?e not kble, tothe hospitals, and there will bo many of the lutter ; for Ihere are some who, irom pure starvatiun, have not strength enough to march a milo.
