Salike, Oct. 20, 1862. E. B. Pond, Dear Sir. - Tho Democratie Representativo Convention for tbis District was held at Saline Exchange, Oct. 8tb, 1862. P. M Eaton was callad tq the Chair and Gco. W. Hall appoiuted Seo'y. L. ö. Allen, of York, reeeived the unanimous voto of the Conveution for llepresentative for this District, Tho following Coinmittce was appoiated for the eusuing two years. In Kentucky and Missouri frequent raids are made by some guerrilla party, but no serious damagö bas boen done by these land pirales. &.'L" The abolitionists are still at Work trying to got MeClellan removed, and althougii freijuent ruraois reach us from Washington tliat he has been ousted, yet ho still retains his coininand, and vc hope tbc President will pay no regard tq these blntant civilians.
