As ncar as we can estímate from tho repnrled mtijorities we may state the result as fnllovvs : In the 7th Senato district "William Jav, Union, beats Dr. Smith, "radical" Kepublican, 275. In the 8lh district John J. Robison, Unionist, beats J. W. Ciiilds, Rt publican about 60. Mr. Ciiilds has been a mumbor of the Houso during the presunt and last term, and in "radicalism " out Hurods Herod, The present Senators are both of the " radical " stripe, and the change is worth chronicling. Mr. Jav, Senator elect, bas been heretofore identified with the Kepubücans, but couldn't longer abide their ultruism, nnd Mr Robison has been a life-long Democrat. In the First Representativa distriet, 3. M. Cutciieon, (.JbafKiler-Republican, beats Yost, Unionist, about 150:. In tho Second district Hikam J. Beakes, Unionist, beats Gott, Chandlerradical 148. In theThird distiict Lovatus C Allen, Unionist, is reportad as having 3 majonty over Chapman, Republioan. In the F.jnrth district Elisha Cong eon, Unionist, has 300 raajority over Pierck, liepublican. Messrs. IJkakes and Conqdon have been working Democrats, and Mr. Allen a Ropublican. All the members eloct but Cutcheon run on both the Democratie and Union tickets. The dulegation is an able one.
