The Comuiission having reported that the behavior oí the l2fith New York Infantry was (lisgr-iceí'ul, and that Miíjor fm, H. Baird, for bis bad conduot, ought to be dismissed, tho said Major Bird, of the 126th New York Voló n teers, is, by direction of the President, distnisaed f rom the service of the United States. 3d. The Commission havinar reported tliat Brig Gn. Julius Wliit;, U.S. Volunteers, acted with decided capability and courage, and that it meota their appiobution, und havlng found nothinpr in the concluct of tho subordínate offioers brought before the Oommisaion, they are releaned from arrest and ordenad to report for duty.
