At a meeting of the Law Department of the Uyversity of Michigan, upon the annouuce. ment of the 4eath of Samuel C Lewis, a member of th,e Senior Class, the fpllowing preamble and resolutions were adopted : Wheras, It lias pleased an all wise Providence to remove from us, by death, our friend and class-mate, Samuel C. Lewis, therefore, Resolved, Tliat we bow in humble submission to this manifestation óf Divine will, and ask of bis fricada and relations the privilege of mouming wiih them the untimely decease of our mutual friend an brother. Resolved, ïhat we have sustained an Irre, parable loss, in the death of one in whom we have ever found a devoted student, a genial companion, and a true friend.
