A Democratie Stale Convention will be held at Detroit, on Wednesdajr, tito eíeveHtt) day oí Febniary. A. D. 1801, al eleven u'cloCk in the Sreijj)on, for the ptirpoae of nominating a eandidate for Jusüce of the Supreme Cmirt, and candidatos for Regents of the University, uní for the purpose of trans icting sucia otlier business as may come before the eonvention. Ëach conmy coroprising onè or more representativo district will beentitled to three tiinSs as many delogatës as tlierearereprcscntatives in tlie lowor bouse of the State Legislature from such connty ; and each connty which may not ba eutitled to ono representativa in the lower house in the State Legislature, will be entitled to one delégate. The last State Convention adopted a resolution to the eir'ect that, no delégate should be entitled to a seat in any future democratie State Convention as a representativa from any eotmty in which he does not reside. Demócrata and conservativos, ye wlio wisli a restoration of the Union and the maintenance of the coustitution and laws in their integrity, come and let us take counsel together in tliis hour of uur luuniliatioii and peril.
