In Sharon, on the 23d, inst., after an illüp of only five days, John M. Cowan, aged 'Z years. Mr Cowan was born in Washington County New York, in which place he speiit the early part of his life. He was actively engaged ia the war of 1812, soon after the close of whichi he emigrated to western New York, fromwhich lie carne lo Michigan in 1837. Mr. Cowan was a zealous Democrat and a truepatriot, and his greatest desire was that hemigbt live to see hN country restored to peac.
