Special Dispatch to the Det. Pree Press. Fraffklia, April 27. Gen. Granger's escort detachmeut, Sevonth Kentucky Cavalry and Sixth Kentuoky, iu all about 500 men, commauded by Col. Watkins of Sixth Kentucky, made a most brilliaut dash upon the camp of the rebels upon Carroll's Greek Fike, eiglifc miles from this place. They left at tivo this morning, completely surprismg the rebels jast at break-ofday. Tliey fled like mad fellows, but our cavalry wereon tbcm, killing two, wounding ten, capturin 132 privatns and six officers, three of tbem Captains - all of First Texas Legión. About 750 horsos, 100 mules, 8 wagons and an ambulance are auiong the trophies. A large camp covering several acres was coinpletely broken up and all tlieir camp ' equipage that could not be conveniently j transported was destroyed. We lost not a man. Detachments of the Ninth Pennsylvania and Second Michigan Cavalry were also out, but did not reaeh the field. - A much larger camp was only one mile distant, and Col. Wtitfcins drew up bis men as if about to attack them. ünder this cover he withdrew his capture.
