New York Aug. 12. S.ome misoreant3nre reported to have been detected in an attempt to blow up the Crotón Aqueduct at Tarrytown, Monday night. They broko into the powder magazine and atole a keg of powder, whieh was found with tliem near tho aqueduct.. The evidence being iosufficient the men were released. Thcre were over twenty cases of sun stroke yesterday, many of thern fatal.
