An immense democratie mass meeting was held in Cartbag( to day to hear a great speech froui Voorhies, of Indiana. To-night au eqiwl great meeting was held iu Fit'th strect Market Space, to hear a speech froai Judge Bartley. At Lebauou, yesterday, as a democratie proeession was uioving through the atrects, the republicana were insulent and threw stotiCS. The democraey rallied and one republican was shot dead. Tne excitenient in Lebanon is very great. Further bloodshed is antieipated. At Deerfield to day, a republicau named Trumb was shot dead by a democrat named Lucus. At Cuutou to-day, a very large meeting is:s held, oue thousand ladies and gentlemen wero on horseback. As part of the proecssiou was passing the depot, an ndiscriiniuate attack was eommenced by throwing stones into the pro cessiou. The democraey disrnounted frni their horees, and out of their wag mis, and took after the crowd which fled. The delegat ion coming from (Jamden were inteiruptcd by tepublicaus of' the place by running a wagon with a saw log on it, at the cro.ss road. Thu democraey undertook to remove the same, and a fight ensued, in vyhich üve or six republicans wero shot dead and two mortally wouuded. Threats wore made that the saine delegaüon should not' return home by that road. The delegation havearmed tho-mselves and will go that road or lay Camelen in aahes. Further diffieulty in that locality is looked for. These troubles are oocurring in various portions of the State, and so badly scared are the oppositioQ that thcy will resoi't to extra ordiuary uieasures to carry the election, and import soldiers and votes into the State, there is no doubt, while aü inmates of hospitals - all of which. are full - will be giveii liberty. to vote. Archbishop Purcell was nob permitted to go through the liues, and returns to tli is city to-morrow.
