Col. B II. HitL, A. A. Provost Marshal General for tliis State, lias announced to Gov. Blaik by official letter dated tb e 3d inst,, that " the 26th day of this month (October) has been fixed upon as the day for the comineucenieut of the draft in the Stato of Michigan." Col. Hill further informa tho Governor that ""Volanteer reported as mustered into service before the 24th of üctober, will be credited on the quotas of the Congressionál or cnrollment sub districts in vvhicli they were raised. The Free Press of Monday publishes a tabular statement of the number of men to be drafted in the several sub-enrollment districts of the S'ate. According to the letter of Capt. B, which aecompanied the statement, we un derstand that the apportionment was made UDon the 19th of Sentemhnr nnil all enlistments since tbat date will be deduoted from the quotas of the several sub-districts entitled to the men, at the time the draft takes place. This statement foots 459, but deduet one-third for tho added 50 per cent, and the Couoty is really oalled upon to furnish 313, quite a proportion of whieli has already,we may presume, been eulisted and inustered iuto the service. A 'ittle exertioa will secure ioar if not the entire quota of the County. Eaeh Town may determino its real quota of men called for by simply deducting onethird from the number given in the statement.
