(jov. Elaib has issued his proclamation calling for volunteers to fill the quota assigaedjjto this State under the late cali of the President. In uonneo tion with the proclamaron appears the order of Col. Hill, A. A. Provost Marshal General, a&signing the exact quotas to the several Oities and Townships or sub-districts - of the State. Frora this order we extract the following statement of quotas apportioned to the several sub-districts of Waehtenaw Gonnty : District. Town. No. Meu. 58 Arm Arbor, lst, & 2d wds 38 59 " 3d, 4th & 5tü " 41 60 Augusta, jg 61 Bridgewater, 17 62 Dexter, xj 63 Fieedom, 22 64 Lima, 2Ü 65 Lodi; 20 66 Lyndon, n 67 Manchester, 25 68 Northfield, 19 69 Pittsfield, 21 70 Sharon, ]8 71 Sylvan, 22 72 Saline, 33 73 Salem, 27 74 Superior, 20 75 Scio, 34 76 Webster, 21 77 York, 23 78 Ypsilanti Town, 22 79 do lst, 2d & 3d Wards, 26 80 do 4th & 5th " 20 81 Ann Arbor Town, 18 The above quolas give the exact number of men wanted for service from each Town, and if there is a deficiency in any Tovvnship the draft is ordered to take place on the 5th day of January next, at which time 50 per cent. will be added to the number then wanted. The 5th of January will eoon be upon us, and if the Towns would escape the next draft, they must be up and do. ing. Liberal bounties are offered" by the Government ; and if active men in each Township will take the subject in hand and co-operate with the enlistiog officers, the quota of the County may be nearly filled. A Town bounty oi $50 in additional to the national bounty of $402 to veterans or $302 to new raen enlisting in the old regiments will we think ineure the desired object. D3C Thursday next LaviDg been designated by both the President and Governor as a day of Thanksgiving, it will be appropriately observed in our city. Religious exercises will be held in several of the Churches, and the usual Thanksgiviug dinners caten, - We understand that Messrs. 0. H. Millen, Stebbins & WiLsoN, and P. Bacii, will close tlieir stores during the entire day, and we presume that most of our business men will follow their example.
