The Kepublicaus bavo introduced two bilis allowing soldiers to i vote; one, the bill defeated last winter, and a new one, copied frota tbe New i York Uw, allowiüg soldiers to vote by I proxy, From present appearances tbe prosy bilí will pasa, though the radioal i portion of tbe Republicana, lieaded by the Governor, favor tbe oíd bilí. The Governor has turned a completo sominersault on tbis subject. Oae yoar ago he believed the bill to be uneonstitutional and urged bis views strongly, now be says " none but traitors vul object." "How easily is a noble spirit distraed Froin harsh and sulph'rous matter, That flies out in contumelies, Makes a aoise, and stipks." " Figureville " is all commotion as to the Gubernatorial sucoession. Lt. Gov. May seems to have the inside track, witb Cc 51. Croswell, Senator from Lenawee, 2d. Judge Birney bas been bere. He has uiany warm friends who are urging his claims to " our Blair's" toga."
