The Legislatura oí Michigan, callea together in extra session ostensible to legislate upon the subject of bounties, but really to pass a soldiers' suffrage bilí, has taken another bereulean task qpon its shouldors, not contempluted n the (j-ovprpor's proclamation, nor submitted by special message. The fojlowing resolutioti?, adopted in the House, by a vote of C2 to 23, and in the gánate by a vote of 18 lo 10, will convince even the skeptical of tho "loyalty" - to party - of the majority of the Michigan Lcgislature : Resolved by the Señale and House of lU'presentatires of the State of Michigan, Thut in the proclamation of aranusty recently put torth by the President of the LJnited States, we recognizea great step tmvnrdsthü roconstnietion of the Union upon sound and safe principies. And that, in the author of that proclamation, we rueognize the man who is pointed out to us is the inatrument in tho hands of Proviclence, to conduct the nation to a happy icsue, out of these great trials and stupetidous dangers. Resolved, That in Abraham Lilhcoln we seo a Ohef Magistrato, guided in his administration, in tlio most trying peruul of our National history, by a c'ear head and a pure heart; and that as the Kepre.entativü of the people of Michigan, recornmend him to the Natjon as the people's candidate for the Presidence for another ter:n, subject to the decisión ai a National Convention.
