bt. .Louis, Apnt ö. Major General Pleasanton has arrived and reported to General Rosecrans. A report has reached here that a forage train sent out from Batesvi'le, Arkansas, under the command of Gapt. Majors, was captured last week by Col. Freeman's guerrillas. Advices from Alexandria, 27tli, savs the main body of Franklin's army ar rived there the day beiore, moeting no opposition. The country through wliich it mnrohed is deserted of whites and blacks, they having gone to Texas. Indications are that Banks' afmy wül remain there some time. The gunboat Bragg established a blockade at the moutn of the Eed River. A body of cavalry, under, Gen. A. J. Smith, left Alexandria on the 27th, Gunboats probably follow. General Mower bas captured poventeen cannon siüce reaching Red River. Mr. Flesh is elected Mayor of Jefferson Oity, by twenty-fiva majority over Wagner, radical. The New York Vindicator, sent to subsoribers, and the Metropolitan Record, in this department, have been promptly suppressed by General Rosecrans. The Twenty-first Illinois, General Grant's old regiment, and the Twentyeighth Illinois, reeulisted veterans, arrived to-day and received an 1 tie recept ion. Reeeipts - Gotton, 860 bales ; sales eigbt bales. At arecent levee at J-eff. Davio' house 75 hate wcro stolen.
