Hogan was secn late Monday night, considerably inder the influence of liquor, and it is aresumable that exposure t the damp md cold night added much to the cause )f his death. - Journal. 1 1 m 1 1 The New Bedloid Standard says 3oth the locomotive manufactories in launton havo been forbidden for the past six months to build engines for uther parties than the United States. Some people are never contented. Aiter having all their limbs broken, their heads smashed, and their brains knoeked out, they will actually go to law, and try to get further damages. Things are queerly connected. A late statistician says if nll oor old maids should marry, the manufacturera of single bedsteads would be utterly ruined.
