For Plank Wulks on the east of East Unirersity street bet ween a point four rods south of the south ide of Willard and the north ,ide of Fletcher streets, On the north side of Brown btreet, and on He northeasl side of Pontiac street, frora Broadway to the gate entering the premises owned by A. II. Partridge, On the north side of East Catherine street between State and Injralls streets, On the South side of Washington between ïourth and State streets, Were severally reccived and granted. Aiking that the time for laying a Plank Walk on the north side of Ann bet ween State iidTwelfth streets be extended three months, u referred to the Sidewalk Commiltee. , Of Daniel His'coek-, A. P. Mills, and others, for a street between the southeasterly terminition of High street, in Hiscock's Addition, sud the west side of Main street, was referred toa special comraittee of three, cnsisting of Aldermen Parsons, Gott, and Slawson. Of John L. Truair t'oi leave to build a fish tand on the northeast corner of Main a'jd Ann streets was granted. Of John Eisele, for leave to build a tempornvy wbrnl building for marble shop on the lot back of SlawT'n & Son's storo, was granted. COMMUNICATIONS. Krom Aidernutn Parsons, calling the attention of the Council to the bridge partially built over the' ravine on the south end of Fuiratain .street, was referred to special committee cousiithi;j of Aldermen Parsons, Gott. nd Slawson. Henderson, That a Committee of three be appoinUd bythe Mayor, consisting of the Chief Engineer of the Fire Department and two Alderttien, to inquire into the expediency of procuring new hose for the Fire Department, and also to rnake such alterations and reiairs to the Fire Engines, and that if they shall deern necessary that they be authorized and empowered to procure such hose and also the makmg of such repairs at the expense of the city. Parsons, That the Street Commissioner cause a gutterto be made on the west side of Main st., from the north side of Huron street to the louth side of Catherine street, and that they establish the grade for the descent of said gutter. Adopted. By Aid. Gott, That the sum of twenty-flve dollars be appropriated by the Coramon Oouncil to be expended under the direction of the Street Committee for the purpose of verifying, aud eitablishing durable landmarks at such poiatB in the city of Ann Arbor as they may áeem expedient for the public interest. - Adopted.
