LouisTille, July 23. The Evansville (Tudiana) Journal, of yesterday, says a courier arrived there on Tbursday from Henderson, advising tbe military authorities tbat Heudersou was attacked by the rebels, nunibering from 150 to 700, and fighting was going on. Our gunboats left for Heudorson. I The Federal troops went to Henderson "Wednesday to sboot two guerrilla prisoners, in retaliation for tbe murder of a Union man in Henderson county, occasioned by this rebel raid. Certain dis tingui&hed citizens made great exertions to preveut the execution, and Gon. Ewing poslponed it. The citizens of .Henderson left in large numbera, tho Halleok being literally erammed. Persons wlio left later report the guerrillas in the city, and Federal troopg in line of battle awaiting an attaek. The timely arrival of gunboats would save the Federal troops from disaster. Latest. - Passengers arriving last night, say the guuboat Brilliaut was sholiing the woods at tho lower end of Ht'nderson, but it is not expected Captain Perkins will do the townmuchdamage, whether the guerrillas are tbere or not. We are sorry Commodore Fitoh is not there in person.
