Cliattanooga, July 27. The following dispatclT was reooived yesterday: Tho battlê of the 22d was very severe. The encmy attacked seven timos, and as often were repulsed. Our total loss was 3,500 and 10 guns.- Known loss of the enemy in killed, more thiui 3,000, and we capturad over 8,000 prisoners; also 13 stands colors, over 5,000 stands arins. Tho total loss of the enemy in killed, wounded and missing caimot fall short of 10,000 to 12,000.- In the battle of the 26th inst., his loss was at least G,000. Our army is right on Atlanta and in good condition. Washington, Ausrust 1. Official dispatches received bere from before Abanta state that rebels assauited Gen. Sherman's line vigorously last Wednesday but were repulsed dieastrously. Gen. Sherman's killed and wounded nurnberCOO. He buried 660 rebels. Hood's loss was 4,000. Nashville, August 1. iNo üghting since the 28th. All the army is in fine condition preparing for an advance upou Atlanta, whicb. will oceur shortly. Autlientic reporta confirm the death of the rebel Gen. W. H. Walker. It is reported Gen. Wheeler is killed, but the report lacks confirmation. 340 Confedérate prisoners arrived hre this afternoon, en route Nortü.
