The euemy's works, five miles from the oity, were probably sttaoked yesterday, ag heavy firing was hoard ia tbat direot on. Captain Duncan repregeuts the army to be in the best spirits possible, and in most excellent oondition. Very little opposition had been mut with on tho mareh, as the enemy could not teil what route was to be taken. The army has lived off the oountry and aooumulíited a oonsklarable number of horses and cattle. Th army is well suppliod.
