Abbott eulogised the Napoleons after his favorito style, before the Students' Lecture Associatiou, on Monday ovening last. We did nol hear hitn, but understand that his lecture was decidedly anti-BnglaniJ, wliile he declared that France had been the first friend of our governmeut since the breaking out of the rebellion, and would continue our friend. Perhaps, Mr. Abbott, perhaps, - Mis Susaxnah Evans, a young lass late from Wales, spoke before the Association on Monday evening. Her subject was Tempertnce, a subject which appeals directly to wr. man, and, if any, will warraut her to appear upon the platform, In this instance, howTer, despite the good intention we fear bi t little was accomplished. It was a fair schi o'girl declamation, and thivt's all truth ■will permit ui to eay. If Miss Susanxah wishes to benefit young men, as her introduction leads us to suppose is her object, she had bet' tr return to the social circle, and give privste instruction. Her lecture is too tome nd eomtnonplace to excite enlhusiasm or wake the conscience.
