A youDg lady who bas made the art of dressing a study, says that young ladies have a wide latitude allo wed them for dressing; gayer colora ind more fancifulstyies may be indulgid in, -o loner R theydo not amount to overdressing or unsuitablenesB. Above all things they should avoid juvenilily of Btyle, sinco, iusteud of iuakjng old people look young, it haB an imnaediately oppoaite effect, and only serges to bringout more promiuently, and to contrast more paiufully, the youth oftha dress with the age of the wearer. Dark ladiea look best in light colors, which supply a pleasing contrast to the complexión; or in yellow, whii;h gheda a eubdued violet hue, iavorable to brunette. Fair ladies appear to the best advantase in black, on account of the contrast wtiich ia derived f rom it; or in light green or sky blue, both of which colora posesa the power of imnartiog to palo or fair comploxions what are called complimentary tints.
