The Fire Companies tiraed out headed by Gwiuner'a Band, fire srorks were sent up, sentaround, and perhapo own, public and private dwellings , stores ud ofgces illuminated, and congratulations ejchanged. Speeches trere made at the corner of ths Court House Square by Messrs Ivritchell, Taylor, Felch, Granger, Hill, anc tiwrence, whon the immense orowd dispersed to thfir homes.
