Jg3f A moveuiönt is benig made by those of our citizens who dissent from the action of the recent meeting, authorizhig a loan ot 810,000 to procure the removal of the Obtervatory to the University grounda, to prevent such action being cariied out, We received a communication oq the subject of piling up a city debt - called out by this opposition - too late for thia issue. Our ovrnopinioD is that the Observatory is not properly located, that it is not lavge enough to accommodate the present instrulaents, and that its interests and the interests of the University would be alike subserved by t'ie constraction of a suitable buikling on the Univrsity groumïs. The interests of the City are intimately coauected with Uve University, but whether Intiraately enough to warrant s. loan or a tax j now the question at issue. It should bo fully oonsidered and detenniued before the bonds are issued, and when issued, if &t all, tte shall regret to hear of auy considerablo dissatisfaction, and certamly of any Uireals of repudiation.
