E. Church of tbis city, preached hia farewell discourse, and took leave of bis congregation on Sabbath foreuoon last. Mr. Cocker has mitústered to the church three years, and the regulations of the denomination forbid his lunger stay. During his stay he has won the love of his church and onoregation, and made many friends outside of his immediate charge. The best wishes of our whole people wül follow him to his new home wherever that may ba. SST The Detroit Conference of the M. E. Church commenced its annual session at Flint, un Wednesday, Bishop Claree presiding. In cur next issue shall probably be able to announce who has been appointod to suceeed the Kev. B. F. Cockek in charge of the church in this city.
