Supper was served for all connected with the school at ñ)' P. M. in the basement, and at 1) the public exercises were entered upou in the audience room. The programme consisted oí' reeitations, dialogues, solos, iijuartets, choruses, &c. The singing was admirable, and the scholars paricipating in the speaking acquitted themelves very well. We must be permittod to say, however, that some of them showed a jack of that training whichall should receive who are to appear on such an occasion The entertainment closed with some very fine Tabjeaux, which were received with great ap4)lause. - By way of an episode, M-r. ü. B. Wilsow, Jate Superintendeiitof the scliool, was presentad with a fine set of Clark's Comnientaries ; nd Ur. MAnony, late assistant -Superintenilent, with a set of .Stevens' History of Metho.(lism. - Both gentlemen were taken by surprise, and, to use Bsady's words, were "too full for utterance," so we have no pretty .speeches to report.
