Tho Jatter number was an excess of 45 - 303 over that of 1868, and of 75.399 over the averago provious years. Ninety-sevon thousand sis hundrcd and fivo of the immigrants were natives of Germany; 00,204 of Ireland : 41,000 of England, aüd 52,090 of all other conntries combined. The Germán emigratioti has fallen offsüghtly, and the Engli-h nnd Iiiah har inereased, while the health of all arriving imraigrants has improved. The principal puints of destinaiion were: Illinois, 38,213; New York, 35,810 ; Pennsylvania, 32,135 ; Wiscousin, 17,003.
