Hugh McOurdy, President of the (!om paüy, who proceded to Btate tho object for whicli tbey wore co.nvenedy ns well as the conditioü and prospecta of the rond. Tho Court House was dcnsely pseked with stookholders and frKoda of the enterpriae f rom Eaat Sagiotw, South 'Saginaw, Chesauing, Coro rum, North Newburg, and othor points along the line of the road, and the utmost harmouy and good feeling provailcd throughout the whole proceedinga. The report of owen Jonea, Chief Engineer of tho road, was read, whicb eliowed the cstimatcs in detail for ompleting the road ready for the iron f rom East Saginaw to Jiyron, which report was reoeived with much satisfaclion, as the route tbus far surveyod appears to be more feasible than was aatiuipated by the projectors of tho road. Hon. George V. Peck offered the following resolution, which was adopte d : Resolved, That a committee of fiye be oppoiuted by the chnir to propose the necestsar" nieasures to be takcu by this meeting 10 iocrease tho eubscriptions to tho steek of the company, so that work may bc cotnmeneed at once. Messrs. Bundy, Ingersoll, Coming, Kenyon, aod Bush woro appointed tbat committee, who, iu a short timo, responded that the sum of S,550 was needed, I which Mr. (reorpo V. Bundy, of East Saginaw, eu1 B'-iibed on tho pot. Tho meot n then adopted a ropolution unanimi usly roquesting the officers of the com[aDy lo take suoh cction as will inetire tlm inmediato conatruction of the road, bet ween Ann Arbor and East Sagiuaw, and ikat steps be at once taken for its couimeNcenient at pnints botween the city of Curunua aud Eii-t Saginaw. A coinmitteo was also appointcd to take into coiiHideratiou the advantages of the narrow g iugo sysletn, and report to the oili 'crs ot the compaoy ai soou as practicable.
