Bosïox, Sept. 10. The coroner's jury on the Eastom railroad accident this moroing agreed to a verdict, which was transmittèd to Mr. Porsytli, and approved by him ;it 1 o'oloek this afternoon. The following is tho vordiot : " Thiat the persoru thore lying dead came to their dcaüis through a cullision oí' traína on tho Kaetem railroad, abool 20 minutes past eight o'olook on tho evening ui the 2(th da y ul' August, near railroad depot iu liovcre. " The jaron further Bnd that negligence was the direct causo. The collision was causad by the negligoncc of John, S. Nowland, conductor oí th-j 1! vefly train, apon which the Raid persons were thus killed, and Ashbcl S. Btowb, engifieer of the oolliding Pollman train. The formar Eailed to notify tho latter, by signal or othnrwise, that his (tin; Baid Nowland's) train )i;td beun dolayed on the road, alter sturting, about 20 minutos; ;ul Nowland wonld have known, bad ho consultod his watch, thut the Pullnian train was overdue by its regular runninfr time, when tho suid Nowland rea.hod Eovoro. Tho onginoor of tho Pollman train hul an unöbstructed view of at least half a mile OÍ tho Boverly train, as it stood at the depot at lievere, dircctly bef'oro the collision, and could andshoold have seen a tail lighf of said train in season to avoid a collision. " Tho jury furthor find Samuel O. Lunt, depot mastèr at Boston, remiss in duty in not corructly trauamittíng tlu; order of the superintendent of tho Pullman train to look out for trains ahoad, tlius deprivin5 the enginoer of information that might have esabled him to avoid tho Buverly train. The more remoto oauae, Viut not loss (ifirtain of disaster, was the ilcluy in the time of tho starting of tho Boverly train from the depot in Boston, said delay being oooasioned by gross inadequacy of rolling stock necessary for the safe and timely transit of passongers on said road. "Tho jury further find that frequent delays in the time of starting-, oocasioned by extra or excursión trains, delays the running of tho regular trains, thus ttdding to the perils of railroad travel. The necessity of telcgraphic communieation with tiuuis of this road, the nood of miproved appliances for safety of trains risks from lire attending the use of .xplosive burning fluida, want of siding at the Saugus Branch, and theéntireiasufficieney oí aocommodatíon have failed to receiyó that oonsideration which theii importance demanded. Wr, therefore, find that the Presideiit :nd Rirectors of tho Eastern railroad oorporation ar.' to a greal extent respontdble for tho lossoflife aforesaid."
