Mr. Tuomy, from Committee 011 Public Buildings, reportad the following: Your committee havo examined the sovoral buildings belongiog to the county, and woiilJ respectfully recommend that theokl board bedsteads iu thu oells of the jail bo replaeed with iron onea. Also somo new bedding for tlic prisDners. And a new drain be oonstrocted from the jiiil ])iivy ; also, that a spout be eounected witli the eve-trough, on the west eud of the jail, to the vault of the privy. Your committee would recommend that turo rubber bath tubs, (ono for tho male una tne otlier lor tho teníalo departmcnts ot' tho jail) be purchased ; and also that the femaln áepartments oí' tlie jail bo oivided so that one división may be usod for childrcn. Your committcc would further report and reoommend that tho County Clcrk or Sheriff be instructed to unploy Borne porson to examine tho eave - trough aud conductor on tho west sido of tlio Court House, and to have the samo oleaned or repaired as they may iind iry. Mr. Cook, from Committee on Criminal Claims, presented the claim of Jortin Forbes, Under-Sheriff, and rocommondcd its ullowance as claimed, whieh, on motion of Mr. Tuomy, was reforred to a Bpeícial committee of ene. The Chairman appointed Mr. Shurtleff such committee. Mr. Wilgey oftered tho following proamble and resolution : WjïEEEAS, Everyholder of real estáte in the county is deeply iuterestcd in the safe-keeping of tlicir titles, and WHEEEA8, Our Registers orneo is not lire proof or safe, therei'ore, I{:i1 'reit, That the Board take immediato steps toward ereoting, at the expenso of the county, a fise-proof building to be occupird as Registers office. On motion of Mr. Wall, the resolution w.is adopted and laid on tho table. On motion of Mr. Cook, the Board adjourned until to-morrow morning at half past niue o'ejock.
