Opening the drawer, he found the same on thc article in it, and ilso on a pocketbook. Au (xtininatiou revealod tho same marks on tho eontents of a bug. This proved clearly that the masón, with his wet hands, had opened the drawer and searobod the Uig, which contained no nionoy, and lmd then olosed the drawer without once thinking that any one would ever know it. Tho " tliin whitening" wbich happened to be on his banda dia not show at first, im2')íi probably had no idea that twelve hours' drying would reveal lii wickedness. Children, beware of evil thoughts and deeds; they all leave their Jingermnrka, which will one day be re vea'led .
