This is ust-ful in inany ways and it takes but littlo experieneo to prepare it. Put somo good fresli quick limo into a box and wst it slowly ; let it swoll and. sizzle imtil the hard piceos are as ïnüliovv as mcal, but do not got too wet. As fast as the top of the pilo is slaked sufficiontlv remove it with care, so as not to raiso a dust, and keep wetting the solid mass. You will in this way get a powdor that wiü klll br drive away any bug or worm in tho garden, or any fruit treo as far as I ever tried it Put some of it in the water pot and shake it up well, and water your onions andsee that tho onion worras get out of that or die. It is food for the tendeiest plant, and dcath tp tho toughost hidcd insect. It is a splendid disinfectant, also, and everv place that can possible sond up a bad sraell shonld be dustod down with it, and it shoold be ajjpliod to the toufilicst places every day in hot wcathor to make suro that uil is right. I beliove that tho canker worra, so destructivo to fruit trees in this eeotion of Massachusetts, could eithT be killed or vanquishedbyit. - Cor. Vt. Farmer.
