Notice is hereby given, that the Directors of the Toledo, Ann Arbor & Northern Railroad Company, having heretofore designated that part of said Company's Railroad line lying in the county of Monroe. and in that part of the county of Washtenaw south of the river Huron, in the city of Ann Arbor, as a division for construction : At a meeting of the Board of Directors of said Company this day held, said Board did, by resolution, require all persons holding or interested in the Capital Stock of said Company, who, by residing along or collateral to such designated division, or within two miles of either of the termini thereof, or by special agreement or otherwise are liable to be assessed and made to pay towards the construction of such designated division, to pay to the Treasurer of said Company, at his office, in Ann Arbor, the following installments upon such shares of the capital stock held by them respectively to wit: One installment of ten dollars per share, on or before the first day of April next; one installment of ten dollars per share on or before the first day of May next; one installment of ten dollars per share on or before the first day of June next; one installment of ten dollars per share on or before the first day of July next, for the construction of such division of said road. sioner of Washtenaw County will be at the house of Chauncey Howell, in the township of Dexter, il said county, on the (9th) ninth day of May, 1872, a one o'clock in the afternoon, to meet parties to contract for the excavation and construction of a drain known as Dexter Drain No. 1, commencing near the S. W. corner of section No. 21 in the township of Dexter, being town No.1 south range 4 east, and running thence in a southeasterly direction and finding an outlet on section No. 23 in said town, on the lands of Harris Carpenter.
I will also be at the house of Chauncey Howell or Saturday, the (4th) fourth day May aforesaid, at which time and place I will exhibit maps oť the above proposed drain and descriptions of the several parcel: of land deemed by me benefited thereby, and the amount and description by division and subdivision of the above proposed drain by me apportioned to the owner of each description of land to construct, and to the township of Dexter to construct on account of such drain benefiting the highway, and to hear reasons, if any are offered, why such apportionment should be reviewed and corrected.
