A correspondent of a scientific paper siiys he had occasion for several years to examine rooms occupied by women for mauafaetnring purposes, and had observed that while t:!e ivtorliers in onc room wou'd bo vëry eheerful and healthy, the OOOnpanta of a similar room who were einployod on the same kind of work wcre all inclined to melancholy, and complained of pain in the forehead and eyos, Hnd were often ill and unable to work. The only differeuee whieh ivé coald discover in tho rooms was that the ono occupied by the healthy workers was wbolly white washed, and that occupiod by the melancholy workers was colared witli yellow ochré.
