The Genernl Assembly of the Öld School Presbyterian Church last surnmer decided that that church could not and would not " legislate wherc Christ and his apostles had not legislated." We observe that this doctrine has been set at naught by the Presbytery of Detroit, which has decided that it is sinful to attend Circnses or Theatres - a subject on which Christ and his apostles, in their Iegislation, were as silent as the grave. -
