ÜDITOR OF ARGUS : We undorstand that Bro. Beal of the Courier is boasting that ho has certain letters that we have written to Republicans urging thom to support us for Proseouting Attorney. Wo admit that we havo written some letters and oxpoct to write inore, and if the editor of tho Courier can get hold of them, and will pubi lish thom as wo wrote them, wo have no objection ; but if ho shall publish any garbled extracta or make any additions as he did in the letter to Reuben Krbuff, of Chulsoa, then we do not hold ourselves responsible. Wo havo not done, nor do wo expect to do, any political act without the full knowledgo that tho oditor of tho C'ourier is wutching us. If we sco fit to urgo Republicana to vote for us it is our business, for wo hold no political opinions that we aro not willing to proclaim publicly ; but we do not hold ourself responsible for what the Courier publishes or says on our political views. - Certainly wo sholl not ask tho Courier to give a certifícate of our political views. Enstiectfullv. D. CRAMER. Ann Arbor, Oct. 22, 1872. Buckalewancy was not a prevalent form of political aberration in sonio parts of Pennsylvania at the late elcction. Tlio Democratie oandidate for Oovernor ran three hundred votes behmd the usual Democratie majority in his own county. - JacJcson Citizen. Exaotly. And to run Buckalew three hundrod votes bohind cost the CameroïtHartrakft ring $50,000, or just $166.662-3 foreach vote. Tho same expenditure was made in ex-Gov. Cürtin's county in order that the world might be eonvinced of his unpopularity. The Citizen oditor should hide his head under his wing - w forgot, he is not an angel - rathor than exult over such dearly purchased gains. But, perhaps it is too much to oxpect any Radieal journalist to exhibit shame over the use of the only means which could havo given them victory in Ponnsylvania.
