The average quantity, however, is short cf that of other breeds, and they aro quite tender and require high feeding. The Ayrshires aro a medium sized, hardy, dooile breed of cattle. Thoirmiik is richer than that of the average native oow, although not. so rioh as that of the Alderney. They are eatily kept, and will thrive on coarse fiwd and scant pastures.
