Yesterday afteinoon at abont one o'cloek, u. rire broke out in the planing mili of Mead, Leo & Co., cornor of Frauklin and Hayden streets, East Saginaw, whicih proved inost disastrous iu its rosults. Thirtecn dwelling houses were destroyed, in wliich resided some tweuty families, who were lelt without a roof to shelter them ; some six or eight other dwellings wure more or lesa damaged ; four barns were burnod, and nuaierous outhouses, fences, wood piles ond other proper ty destroyed. Ona block was svrept entirely ; the Humes spro.'id ovor two-thirds of another, ar.d í'rom stil Another two housea were burnod, leaviug the rest untoúched. The fourth, contíiining a warehouse of Mead, Lee & Co., and on whiehwas pilednearly or quito half a million feet of seleoted, elear lamber, was oompletely burued over.
