San Francisco, June 25.- The following dispatch was received at Yreka June 25: Col. EUiot, of the First Cavalry, and Major Curtís, Judge Advocate, arrived hero las Tie;ht, and will proceed to Fort Klam; t f lis afternoon. Co1. Elliót will be th senior officer on the military commibsion to try the Modocs, as Col. Robert Grangcr, of the Twenty first 'ín-' fantry, bas been exeusod on account of illness. The coraniission will probably not work tul after the Fourth of July. H íb thotíghTtbKt tbey will take about six weeks to concluda their labors. ín !hp rieantime it is probable that Col. Kíi.u'sbattalion of the Twenty first InBntry, vrith Oapt. Miller's battery, Fourth Ártillery, will match to Van Couvers vía camps Varuer, Ifarney and Fort Walla Walla. Col. Mendenhall, with tho rest of the ártillery companres, Will probably return to San Francisco ■ña Fort Crook. Hasbrouck'a Light Battery and two companies of the Twelfth Iufantry will reniain at Klamatb. until tKë M'odoos are disposed of.
