The London Morning Chronicle has ! the following remarks on this subject : "A suspension of the Corn Laws bekomes daily more necessary - indeed it appears to be inevitable, and we find the rumor gaining ground that Parliament ' will be called together at an earlier period than usual. It is, therefore, more than probable that the ports will be opened by an order in Council nt once, and Parliament summoned for an early day in November." The Scotsmnn contnins the following : 'Private letters sent us by a close observer. tend slrongly to confirm the rumor ïn the London papers, thal the breach between Peel and Stanley is becoming so aerious as to render the rctirement of the latter, Trom office, before Parliament meets, more tlian probable."
