The Pioneer Society of the city of Ann Arbor held an adjourned meeting at the Leonard House pirlor on Wednesday eveninp, July 21st, Gen. E. Clark, President, in the chair. On motion, Wm. H. Gregory, of Saline, was elected one of the Vice Presidente of the Society. On motion, L. C. Risdon was appointed a committee of one to procure a copy of the Saline Revino contaihing the early history of the Conrro;xational Church of Lodi. At the sugestión of the President the followinir resolution was adopted : Resolved, That a committeo of three be appointed to draft a constitution and by-laws for the Society, and report at a meeting to be held in August. The President named as such committee, Messrs. M. H. Goodrich, J. E. Carr, and Lorenzo Davis. The follovring resolution was aïso adopted : Resolved, That the Secretary prepara a circular and address one to some prominent and active pioneer in each township in this coimty. Mr. O. Risdon, of Saline, 86 years old, father of L. O. Risdon, of this city, and who irflmigrated to this State in 1823, related some of the early history of this county, which was exceedingly interesting, and was listened to with marked atteniion. Ger.. Ciarle also related in an easy, conversational man'ner, n, personal incident, which was listened to with interest and provoked no small amount of hilarity. On motion, the Society adjourned to meet on the löth day of August next. at 10 o'clock A. M. EDWARD CLARK, President. M. II. GóoDBicn, Secretary.
