Chicago, Sept. 3. - The Minnesota i'armers' Convention at Owatonna yeserday nominated the following ticket : (ureruor. - Aaa Barton, of Rice. l.ii-nU itiiitt-llijririnir - E. Benzer Ayres, f Washington. 7 'reiimirer- E W. Dike, of Eice. Kecreiary of State - Col. J. H. Stepbens, of Hennepin. Attorney-Oeneral - W. P. Clough, of tamsey. The platform is very long and profuse. t denounces present political partios as corrupt and subservient to individual inerests, and refuses to support any person 'or office who will either deny or object o the exercise by the Legislature of the jower to reverse and nnnul nt any time any chartered privilege of the so-called veto right, or any privilege claimed to e involved in any charter to any oorloration, railroad or others which exjerience has shown is or may be exercised :y such Corporation, or by other similar corporations, to thedotrinient of the pubic welfare ; favors tariff for revenue only ; 'avors governmental improvement of the MissÍ8sippi and other rivers ; opposes large salaries for public officers as likely to make office-holding attractive to human cupidity, and denounces the Credit Mobilier and the management of the State Treasury. The Cincinnati Exposition was fornially openod on Wednesday evening.
