The profesaor, not iu the least disconcerted, patiently conductcd tUem through the lesson, and at its close said : "I am very glad, gentlemen, to seo that you are so attentive to my wishes, and aa there is somo danger of your spittoon s being broken or lost, between recitations, you may carry them to your rooms at such times, bringiug thera with you when you come to recite."
