On Thursday, 18th inst., Jacob Hangsterfer, aged 61 years, 7 months and 14 days. In Detroit, Doe. 6, 1873, George R. Braithwaite of bilious reraittent Fever. Aged 24 years. In the township of Lodi, Dec. llth, 1873, Fanny, the beloved wife of David Van Gieson, and only daughter of Smith and Sally Macomber, aged 28 years 10 months and 14 days. Behold how desoíale the home bereft Of her sweet presence, and her pleasant smile ; But the long patiënt sufiering is lett, And perfect peace and rest attained the while. No pen can teil of all a father's grief, Or ever number all a mother's tears. No balm can bring a husband's heart relief, Or quiet all ot childhood's anxious fears. The query, " What raakes Ma'ma sleep so long," For aye will liier ringing in their ears ; But darlings, Ma'ma's trust in Uod was strong To keep her little ones through coming years. H. P. M.
