Mrs. Mary B. Norris has recovered in the Circuit Court at Washington, a verdict for $800 damagoa againat the Washington, Virginia, Midland & Great Southern Kailroad, better known as the Orange and Alexandria Kailroad. It appears that on January .'iO, 1N73, Mrs. Norris was on her way home to Kairfax Station, Va., in the carb of that company, and was for somo rcason carried about two miles beyond the station, where the cars werestopped. Whon she reinonstrated with the conductor at being lelt there so far frora home, he said he would take her to the next station and see that she was returned by the down traiu. After parleying awhilo she got off, and was eompelled to walk home. The night was dark and the ground oovered with snow and ice, and frora the exposure and frequent falls she contracted a cold, resulting in long nesa. Sho claimed $.',000 damages, and the jury awarded $800.
