A lady travoler writing about sleoping oars and her experienco in the same, saya : " A woman's toilet, to bo satisfactorily performed, demanda some other position than prono upon the face. Likewise, it is somewhat more agreeablo to perform portions of the toilet unobserved by the multitude. Men either are not burdened with modosty, or they have minds that soar so far above the feininine that they give no thought to the embarrassment attendant upou the niethod and manner of disrobing one's self in those close quarters. A woman carefully extinguishes herself behind the curtains, slyly unloosons a lace, envelops herself decorously in a large waterproof, not daring to lay iside her chignon for foar of a surprise, md proceeds to stow herself away uncomfortably and depressod. ïhe stranger in the bunk above leisurely divests himself of his outer garments, pulls off boots, loosens suspendere, and bounds into bed with graoef ui ease, rather enjoying the situation ! I thiuk if there could be a lady's car for sleeping and toilet, exclusivo of gentloinen, il would be a groat advancement in wayfaring civilization. I thought so this morning, especially, when I awoko from uneasy slumbers to find the foot board fallen, and a group of serenebrowed meii gazing smilingly upon my leeping beauty. Let us have separate ars, good people, and we can ask nothmore of you in the way of luxury and estful ease."
