R0 or Brazil coffeo, which is the mainstay of the coffee trade, is in short stook, tho whole amount in the United States bein less by about 40,000 bags than at the cor responding time last year. Tbis is Eot of itself significant when we considor that the yearly import exceeds one million bags of Rio coffee but is plain that with even with theaverstock on hand a deficiënt supply for the coming season must cause considerable advances in prices.
